Uniform

We expect our students to wear their College uniform with pride.  It was designed by the College's Student Council and represents our students’ commitment to their school, as well as preparing students for the expectations of the world of work.  School uniform indicates a commitment to the shared ideals of the College and promotes equality in a very visible and easily understood way.  As such, we expect the support of parents and carers in ensuring high standards of uniform in the College.   

Full details of the College’s uniform expectations are included in the uniform booklet at the bottom of this page.  Please ensure you are familiar with this before purchasing any items.

Some items can only be purchased from the uniform shop based within the College.  These are blazers, skirts, ties, PE tops and bottoms, rugby shirts, and PE socks.   

 

ORDERING UNIFORM ITEMS

**Please note that uniform orders will not be processed during most school holidays as the College is closed and staff are on leave during this time.**

Uniform and PE kit can be ordered and purchased by credit or debit card via our online Uniform Shop at: The Spires College Uniform Shop.

Not sure about what size you need?  Please see the guidance on our supplier's website: how to measure your child.  We ask that you help us to reduce workload by checking the size guide and keeping returns to a minimum.

Our online Uniform Shop uses the ParentPay system to facilitate credit and debit card payments but this is a standalone system and is not linked to individual's ParentPay accounts.  Uniform orders or payments cannot be made via your own ParentPay account.

Students can purchase replacement ties from our Finance Office (room 1108) before or after College, during registration (once registered), and at break or lunch times on any school day.

 

COLLECTING ORDERS DURING TERM TIME

During term time, items ordered by midnight each Wednesday are available for collection from the uniform shop in room 1212, the following Monday.  Collection outside of the normal opening times shown below must be by arrangement with our uniform shop team. If items are out of stock, we will advise the estimated date that they will become available.

During term time, students can collect their ordered items from room 1212 at the following times:

  • Monday lunch-break
  • Wednesday lunch-break
  • Friday lunch-break

 

COLLECTING ORDERS DURING The summer holiday

The deadline for ordering uniform to be collected during the summer break is Sunday 14 June 2026.

Collection and exchange/return days are detailed below.  This is the same for new and existing students.

These details are based on the arrangements for 2026 and, whilst it is likely to remain the same, they are subject to change closer to the time.

Second-Hand Uniform

Second-hand uniform is available from the College through a platform called Uniformd.  All available second-hand stock is listed on Uniformd, at a fraction of the usual cost, for you to access at any time.  This is organised by our Pastoral Support Team.

 

Using the Uniformd platform is easy.  Here’s how to do it: 

  • Click on the link to the shop:  https://app.uniformd.co.uk/items/the-spires-college.
  • Browse for what you want - use simple search terms such as jumper, shirt, blazer, etc., to avoid needing to scroll through all available items.
  • Check the size of the item, click on it then click 'Add item to the basket'
  • When you’ve selected all the items you would like, click the basket icon in the top right of the screen then click Checkout.
  • Enter your details and pay for your items. No registration or log in is needed.
  • You’ll receive a confirmation email from Uniformd.
  • Ordered items will be given to the student or you will be contacted to arrange for it to be collected from our reception office.
  • If you need to, you can return your order for a full refund.  Please make any returns as soon as you can.

The pre-used uniform shop relies on the generosity of the College community.  Please consider donating any outgrown or unwanted uniform, which is still fit for use, by dropping it into pur main reception office in a bag marked 'Uniform Donation'.  Thank you.

 

 

IDENTIFYING YOUR ITEMS

When you have purchased uniform and are satisfied that you will not need to return or exchange it, please ensure that all items are clearly named.  Belongings that are lost can be easily returned to their owner if they have been named. This is not the case for un-named items.
