Super Junior Chefs!
Two of our students, Tess in year 10 and Lucia in year 9, graduated from The Savoy Junior Chef Academy Course at South Devon College this week. The programme involved the girls learning to cook in a professional kitchen, under a professional chef over a period of 9 weeks. Each week they prepared a two course meal for three to four people, in two and a half hours under the watchful eye of the chef. Menu items included calamari, chicken kiev, Thai curry, French apple tarts and crepes.
The Junior Chefs celebrated their achievements at a Graduation Supper on Tuesday 3 December, where they prepared eight main course options and two desserts before serving the meal to a group of family and friends.
Their graduation means that both girls are able to continue to the next stage of the programme begin working towards the Silver Award in January.
