What's next after school?

Post 18 Evening

Sixth Form, Year 11 students and their parents and carers are invited to our Post 18 Pathways Evening.  Year 10 students and their parents and carers are also welcome.

The purpose of the evening will be to explore the exciting range of ‘next steps’ for our students when they leave The Spires College at the end of their Sixth Form studies.

While the event will be of particular interest to Sixth Form students and their parents/carers, we are also extending the invitation to Year 11 students.  As Year 11 students make decisions about their ‘next steps’ into Post-16 learning, we know that it is invaluable for students to have some ideas about what they would like to do when they ‘leave school’ so that the choices that they make now will lead them to their next destination.

During the evening, you can find out more about higher education, higher apprenticeships and alternative pathways into employment.  Experts from a variety of universities will de-mystify student finance for those students (and their parents!) thinking about going to university and we will explain the guidance and support available to you at The Spires College to ensure that your Sixth Form studies lead you to an exciting and rewarding future.  We will also have representatives from the NHS, Police and Armed Forces on hand to discuss career options.

We really hope that you can join us!
